Oireachtas Banking Inquiry to discuss membership of advisory group

The Committee, which has been tasked with preparing a detailed proposal for the banking inquiry, will meet in private at 9.45 am tomorrow, Wednesday, 9th July, 2014.

Chairman Ciaran Lynch TD: “At our meeting last week, the Committee agreed to the establishment of an ad hoc support group of specialists from the public and private sectors with knowledge and expertise in relation to the banking sector to provide expert knowledge and input to the Committee in developing a relevant proposal for the inquiry for submission to the CPPs of both Houses by the Committee’s agreed target date of 17th September 2014. At our meeting tomorrow we will receive an update on membership of the ad-hoc advisory group. We will also have a discussion on costs and administrative and logistical issues in relation to the inquiry.”
