The Oireachtas Banking Inquiry will continue its context hearings when it meets with David McWilliams and Professor Terrence McDonough tomorrow, Thursday, 26th February 2015.
Chairman Ciaran Lynch TD: “David McWilliams is a well-known economist, writer, journalist, lecturer, broadcaster and documentary maker. Tomorrow, the Committee will focus on early warnings, divergent and contrarian views in relation to Ireland’s boom when it hears from Mr McWilliams.
“The Committee will also hear from Professor Terrence McDonough, who holds a PhD in economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is currently Professor of Economics at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Professor McDonough will address issues relating to the international, EU and domestic policy context for the banking crisis in Ireland.”
The hearing with David McWilliams starts at 9am in Committee 3, Leinster House. The meeting with Professor Terrence McDonough will take place at 11.45am.
