Banking Inquiry statement on Protected Disclosure issues

The Joint Committee of Inquiry into the Banking Crisis today discussed with the Houses of the Oireachtas Service a Protected Disclosure and has been legally advised that the Houses of the Oireachtas Service is the appropriate authority to address this issue.

The Acting Clerk of the Dáil has already instigated a process of investigation. This investigation is a separate process from the Banking Inquiry and will be conducted by the Houses of the Oireachtas Service and the Office of the Acting Clerk of the Dáil.
