Oireachtas Banking Inquiry to meet in private

The Oireachtas Banking Inquiry will meet in private on Wednesday, 3rd December and Thursday 4th December, 2014.

Chairman Ciaran Lynch TD: “This week we will receive technical briefings from Professor Karl Whelan and Jim Devlin and Dr Pat McCLoughan from FTI for the Context Phase of the inquiry as we prepare for the public hearings which begin next week. The technical briefings for the Committee will cover areas such as banks and banking regulation, the chronology of the banking crisis and a review of the banking crisis reports. We will also discuss operating principles, inquiry preparations and plans for public hearings.”
